Data Analytics Officer
Location: Abu Dhabi, AE
Synopsis
As a Data Analytics Officer, you are responsible for development of holistic reporting dashboards/visualisation, supporting the Technical department to design cross-functional, multi-dimensional dashboards providing real-time business intelligence and driving a data-driven culture and mindset.
This is a critical role in executing the data strategy and democratising data across Technical’s +1,000 staff and establishing an analytical centre of excellence. A key part of the role will be to leverage AMOS and AMOS Reporting Server and integrate systems, data, processes and develop fit for purpose and meaningful dashboards with the audience including executives and Chiefs. The scope of the role includes, but not limited to, +150 key AMOS processes, +1,000 data tables in AMOS Data Platform, OPS BI, and other operational data repositories and processes.
Accountabilities
Develop business intelligence reports and automated dashboards leveraging +1,000 AMOS data tables, operational data in OPS BI, and EDP in the future
Partner with and provide data analytics as a service to CAMO, Technical Operations. Asset Management & Supply Chain
Work with IT stakeholders in establishing access to data sources, obtaining definitions of data sets and ensuring the reliability and accuracy of information
Ensure data flows and connections are fit for purpose, accurate and timely and resolve any data quality issues by identifying root causes of and solve data concerns
Design and execute data extract/transform/load scripts and implement best-in-class data-modeling practices
Establish and rollout a training & education programme to drive data-driven decision making culture
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in business/engineering/aviation management or related field
Minimum 3-5 years experience in data analytics preferably within Aviation/related industry
Excellent knowledge of and experience with data analytics tools e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Skywise and developing dashboards/automated reports
Experienced in SQL programming, writing and optimizing SQL Queries
Strong analytical skills and able to communicate key data and messages effectively
Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance & engineering processes (including engineering, planning, supply chain & asset management) is preferred
Proven ability to work flexibly and independently in a team environment
