Importance of Aircraft Technical Log Book.

Aircraft technical log also know as techlog or log book /Journal Maintenance log or other terms called based on operators.

The aircraft technical log is the primary source for technical and operational data on each flight that occurs on an aircraft. This data records defects and malfunctions, block times and fuel consumption. It also records all maintenance carried out on an aircraft between scheduled base maintenance visits from daily checks heavy checks.

Tech log also helps to capture flight time / take off landing cycle which is very important to monitor the airframe hours /engine hours and landing gear cycles which helps maintenance planners and workshops to schedule the aircraft

For maintenance visits or monitor life limit parts duration.

Tech log is considered a very critical document which should be presented on the aircraft before each flight as required by regulations.
